go PATRIOTS!!!

hehe....so semangat one...

we went to see a Patriots game last oct...to be exact it was on 26th Oct 08. I was the one who suggested them to see the game live....i love the game so much...and the last time I watch live game was the Gophers (u of Minnesota team)....I never watched a NFL yet, so I figured this will be the best time....hehe...despite of the cold windy weather we still made it to the stadium...

Anna was also excited about the game, but for Shahrul, we literally force him to join us....at the end he did...yeay!!....he won't say no to the 2 'sisters' here...hehe

We arrived at the stadium parking lot at about 11.30 am ( i guess)...but at that time, there were already people bbq-ing and having fun before the game....the pic above shows only one row of the parking lot, but there are still more and this place is HUGE......I don't know what time did they arrived here. but i think it must be much much earlier than us...so that they can setup their bbq.....also, that is why most of the cars here are pick-up trucks, so that they can bring all their chairs, tables, bbq grill and some of them even brought along a tent.....i don't know why they need a tent, i know it was all sunny and all, but it was actually cold and windy...

For us, we didn't bbq. we brought our own nasi goreng and sambal ikan bilis....so nyummy!!(makes me one to cook nasi lemak n sambal ikan bilis this morning...hehe)

Here's Anna on the way to the stadium....

Me on the way to the stadium...must snap some pics....

Us in front of the stadium.....

Before we went to our seats (which by the way was all they way on top..hehe)...we managed to watch the Patriots player warming up....
Our seats was on the top section and row 24.....

this is the view from our seats.....i know it does look very very far away....but the ticket still cost $100+ per person....we just came here for the experience, so doesn't matter which seats we get....hehe....we can absolutely see everything from the top, but also the coldest part of the stadium coz of the wind....hehe...

During the game....I was so excited...hehe....i gave thumbs up to Anna who took my pics...

Shahrul and Anna....

the three of us together

It was a great game!!...and yes, Patriots won....so it was worth it...hehe....

trip to boston city 25Oct 08

we went to Boston city on 25th Oct '08. We spent the whole day wandering around the city and most of the time we spent taking pictures at Boston Public Garden. It was so beautiful at that time, and we could see a lot of people took that opportunity to do photoshoots in the garden. We were so glad that we had the chance to took some pictures there too, despite the windy weather at that time....enjoy the pics

Anna and Shahrul on the way to Boston....we took the train...no need to drive coz want to avoid the pricey parking rates... We stroll along the Habor Walk ...and of course stop to snap some pics...

Look at all the people here....it's the Quincy Market....a lot of events were done there too especially during the weekends...

Look at how happy I was ....hehe...we end up eating pizza bought from Quincy Market for lunch....aside from pizza, there's still a lot of food choices there....they have lobster roll, chinese cuisine, indian cuisine, fish n chip, thai cuisine and a lot more....i can't make up my mind, so i end up with a slice of pizza...

They also end up having pizza too...hehe...After lunch, we stroll around the Quincy Market area and then heads to the train station. We took the train from Quincy Market to the Boston Common and Public Garden.

Us waiting for the train.....

Us at Public Garden....so called candid pic...hehe

u can sense the awkwardness from my expression..hehe....i'm not used to this pose yet...

picture of us together....

After a long day of walking around, we decided to have an early dinner at Penang restaurant near Chinatown. Here's a pic of me waiting for the train to go to Chinatown.
Pic of us at Penang restaurant , patiently waiting for our food.... I had asam laksa....it was a huge portion but i can still finish it....hehe. And that is the end of our Boston city trip...we went home and straight to bed with our sore foot....zzzzzzzz

raya 2008

hello all,

just to elaborate more on my previous entry....about the 2 Malaysians that I am close with here in Quincy. They are Anna and Shahrul. I knew Shahrul before this from the Management Trainee program, and I just met Anna when they arrived here. From the very first weekend here, we started to plan things to do together...which I did not manage to do since I came here.

They arrived here 3 days before Raya....I know it's hard for them to be apart like this especially near Raya...but we try to make ourselves feel at home by celebrating Raya with the families here. We cooked Raya dishes together - satay, rendang, nasi impit- eventhough both of them are still having jetlag from the travel.....

Just to share some of the raya photos...

Satay recipe was from Anna. She has a family satay business back in Malaysia. It turns out fantastic....

This is what we used to grill the satay....this is the only grill that we have at that moment and yes, it took ages to grill all the 200 satay.....

This is the 'family' pic of us with En Niam's children.

And lastly, here's me in front of my apartment before heading to a Raya Gathering with the Malaysian in Boston.

introduction

Hello all

I created this blog mainly to capture all the moments I've been through here in Quincy, MA. Actually, I've been here for the last 9 months and only now I decided to create a blog to share my stories and experiences, especially with my beloved bf.
Basically here in Quincy, I am very close with the other 2 Malaysians (FELDA people also like me). We are here for an assignment. But sadly, those 2 friends will only be here for 6 months until March 2009. After that I will be left alone again.........I know there's other Malaysians too here, but it will not be the same.....

So, I decided to make the best out of the 6 months that they'll be here......and don't think about the latter part of my lonely life ....

Have a good day!!
