banyaknye masak....

rase macam membazir pulak....padahal mkn utk sorang...or 2 org, kalau Yati datang...ni tgh tunggu Yati dtg umah utk hantar Kat ke sini..

hari ni aku terlebih rajin masak 3 lauk.....ayam masak kicap pedas (tapi kurang pedas lak), udang masak lemak ngan sayur goreng belacan...

utk minum, kak dahniar ngan baik hatinya bagi aku CENDOL....hehe...

pengat pisang n choc cake

Hari ni aku wat pengat pisang n kek choc for dessert....

ni first time buat, and it turns out great.....pengat pisang not too sweet....kek choc is moist and airy...hehe...maksudnye kek tu tak padat.....just like i want...

besok 31 August...so happy merdeka day Malaysia!!

I am entitled for a holiday, tapi i kene pegi keje jugak....keje is piling up by days...

keropok lekor - home made...

hehe....yes....I buat keropok lekor hari ni....

tiba2 tadi terasa nak mkn keropok lekor...so I google for it, terus pegi beli ikan, and i tak caya yg sebenanye boleh dibuat sendiri ..... utk experiment, i tak buat byk sgt...

ni i goreng separuh je, separuh lagi simpan peti ais....besok2 boleh goreng lagik....

verdict: mmg sedapppp...hehe....

after this kene belaja wat sambal cicah pulak....

buka puasa hari ke 4

hari ni aku buka ngan lauk smlm yang kak dahniar bagi...kurma telur, sambal ikan bilis....yummyyy!! also i makan lauk ikan stim i buat smlm....

I also made myself brownies and keledek goreng with sambal kicap....yummy too!!...hehe

besok i will send the brownies to kak dahniar...kalau tak gemukla mkn byk2...

1st day berbuka

wahhh....berbuka utk 1st day ramadhan ni is soooo hectic....yati and I were still bersilat kat dapur time berbuka puasa....hehe....anyways we had sambal sotong, udang goreng kunyit and ikan masak stim.....

patut ambik gamba la mknan2 ni....but i lupo la....tak sempat ambik gamba sbb dah lapo time tu...hehe

also siang semalam i tried wat kuih lapis.......pagi2 tu i teringin makan kuih lapis for buka puasa....so tghari tu i bangun n terus pegi carik bhn2, and also alat pengukus tu.....i takdela beli pengukus yg besar mcm kat mesia tu kan....yg sedang2 je.....leh la selalu wat kuih n masak stim......

the verdict: kuih lapis tu tak setebal mcm kat mesia....kene lebih kan ingredient
and second, kuih tu kurang manis....sbb i kurang kan gula...next time, leh lebihkan siket....

Ramadhan dah tibe.....selamat berpuasa to all muslim readers.....

i baru je habis terawikh pertama for this bulan puasa.....sambil diperhatikan oleh kucing Yati...hehe...

To my hubby....selamat berpuasa Honey!!....take care of yourself n jgn lupe terawikh k....sorry I can't be there with you for our first puasa and raya together.....we'll make up later k at London...hehe...

NYC weekend

Last week, Yati and I went to New York......it was an unplanned trip....we just decided after watching a movie....so we went home, pack some baju, book a room online , leave foods for the cat...then we leave around 8 pm....drove non stop and arrived at Manhattan around 12 midnight...

We stayed at Hudson Hotel....the hotel has a modern taste located very near to the Central park, and there's a bar exactly inside the hotel.....at the time kitorang sampai, we couldn't recognize where's the hotel....i can;t see any signboard or the hotel name outside the building, except for a lot of people just hanging out, like outside a bar....and sungguh la bising....and it turns out, that place is the hotel we are staying for the night....tak sangka the hotel was so noisy with the loud music, and byk gak org mabuk2....it's new for me to stay in hotel like this.....but despite all this, the room was not noisy at all...and I slept like a baby that night....

tapi kitorang tido like very2 late - 5am in the morning!!...hehe...it was crazy....after checking in, we went down to buy dinner from a halal food cart across the street.....we ate, then went out to Time Square.....I never been there this late.....and amazingly there are still a lot of people at Time Square.....mcm baru pukul 8 mlm, but it was already near to 2 am....

dulu teringin nak naik kuda, so we decided to take a ride on the carriage.....it was so busuk...hehe...I don;t know whether it;s from the kuda, the city or both...i'm thinking both!!.....hehe....we end up balik ke hotel pukul 4 pagi.....the party at the hotel was still going on, and I can feel one of the mabuk people did touched the back of my tudung while in the elevator...so freaky!!!....I don;t think this hotel is safe for ladies....especially muslim ladies during the night...

we woke up the next morning at 10 am.....siap2 semua, then had breakfast kat kedai, right nearby the hotel.....very2 convenient.....I had toasted bagel with cream cheese....mmmm...hehe...tak leh mkn selalu bende ni , nanti gemuk .......then balik bilik, check out and right after kitorang keluar hotel, it was pouring outside...hujan!!!...went to buy umbrellas, took a cab to Time Square and head to Hard Rock Cafe....I bought a few t-shirts for my husband, friends and for myself.....then we head to the Info Center and bought the Hop On Hop Off Downtown Loop tickets....so basically we took the tour bus, jalan2 tgk tempat attraction from inside the bus, because it was still raining heavily outside....Finally we stop at Rockefeller Center, and had our late lunch from the Halal food cart- i ate chicken..it was so yummy!!...

before balik, we decided to go back to Macy's ...it is the biggest Macy's , ber tingkat2....the whole block is dedicated for Macy's store....bayangkan betapa besarnye kedai tu......

then by 6pm, we start heading back.....since besoknye kene kerja.....sungguh penat, and tak cukup tido......

anyways, today I woke up early ...walaupon hari ni hari sabtu....sbb I have to go hantar my car for service....after that I decided to go to Boston to buy some present for my sister and my mother....
